Operation: Trident Moon
Countering Transnational Organized Crime
Mission
To advance maritime domain awareness and intelligence fusion in support of national security, law enforcement, and global stability. Operation TRIDENT MOON unites cutting-edge analytics, satellite telemetry, and open-source intelligence to expose illicit maritime networks and guard the world’s oceans from transnational threats.
Program Objectives
1.) Data Integration & Fusion: Develop a scalable framework to aggregate AIS, satellite, and compliance datasets into a unified analytic environment capable of revealing hidden vessel behaviors and high-risk maritime patterns.
2.) Advanced Analytics & Automation: Implement behavioral-detection models that identify AIS blackouts, spoofing, ship-to-ship transfers, and abnormal routing—transforming raw telemetry into intelligence.
3.) Mission-Focused Intelligence Products: Generate tailored intelligence reports, dashboards, and alerts that support federal agencies, port authorities, and defense partners in counter-IUU, counter-smuggling, and sanctions-evasion operations.
4.) Partnerships & Collaboration: Intergrate with government, academic, and commercial entities to enhance data quality, extend regional coverage, and align analytic outputs with inter-agency mission priorities.
5.) Secure Infrastructure & Compliance: Deploy TRIDENT MOON capabilities on cleared or accredited cloud environments, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with U.S. government standards.
6.) Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Pursue ongoing R&D in AI, ML, and sensor fusion to stay ahead of evolving maritime threats and expand operational capability into new domains.
Expected Impact
1.) Enhanced Maritime Domain Awareness.
2.) Disruption of Illicit Maritime Networks.
3.) Strengthened Inter-Agency Collaboration.
4.) Data-Driven Decision Superiority.
5.) Continuous Innovation in Intelligence Fusion.
